Brain Balance for Heyden

Dear friends and family,
My son Heyden is a bright, intelligent, sweet kid, who for most of his life has suffered with severe ADHD symptoms. He is unable to control mental and physical impulses, cannot focus on or complete any tasks and started getting into trouble at school. While he is a very sweet and outgoing boy, he has difficulty making friends, due to his hyperactive nature. We tried for years to avoid stimulant medications and tried natural supplements and therapies that gave very minimal and always temporary relief.

Once he started school it was clear he had a very difficult time controlling his body and brain. By the second grade, after all else failed, I was convinced by one of his therapists that stimulant medications and ongoing psychotherapy were necessary for him to be able to focus and perform effectively in the classroom. It’s taken us nearly 3 years to finally find the right medications, the right dosage and the right professionals to just get him through the school day.  

Its exhausting and heart wrenching to watch your child struggle socially, academically and physically. I hate that I am giving my baby boy medications that can’t be “healthy”! We recently found a program called Brain Balance that gives me great hope for Heyden’s future. With completing this program, it is likely that we can decrease, even stop prescription medications and he can lead a normal and successful adolescence and I can stop worrying about how daily medicating my child with stimulants will affect his overall health in the future.

We would really like to reach our goal by the end of this school year, in order to have the Brain Balance program completed before Heyden starts the 5th grade in the fall. (Drug Free!)

I have researched this program, visited our local site and talked many times with their staff. I truly believe they offer HOPE! Any funds raised above and beyond our goal I will put towards a scholarship for another child to attend Brain Balance.
