EWB Design Summit, India, 2017
Hello,
I'm Jade, and I'm studying Humanitarian and Community Studies through Charles Darwin University.
I have been accepted into a summer semester program that has a two week stint in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
I will be working with CDU and Engineers Without Borders, Australia at their Design Summit, 2017. The Humanitarian Design Summit program is an educational study tour designed to provide students with professional work experience while allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of the role Human-Centred Design and technology play in creating positive change within communities.

I have secured a grant from CDU for the summit itself, however, now I need to get there. That's where you come in.
I need to raise the funds for the flights.
I have done a lot of fundraising for other organisations such as the Gloucester Prostate Support Group, Camp Quality and the WestPac Helicopter. I have also volunteered within the Gloucester community for the Youth Centre, Red Cross and several Mentoring programs at the local High School.
I need to pay for the flights before November 1st. The support you guys give will mean so much to me. I will be able to further my education with first hand experience in working in remote communities. I will be able to work to improve communities around the globe. The work I will be doing in India will help to improve the lives of people through better standards of living.
If you are able to help me out, I will be forever grateful. I didn't even think I was going to get into the program, so this is all very exciting and new for me.
I thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Jade Spencer.
PS. I will be setting up a blog about the experience on medium.com below is my first blogpost
