Springwood Elem. School Playground

Springwood Elementary was established in 2014 as a result of Winchelsea Elementary and Parksville Elementary amalgamating together as one large school on the former Springwood Middle School property.  One of the playgrounds from Winchelsea Elementary was brought to the school; however, this playground is not big enough to support this much larger student population.  Currently Primary students have use of the playground on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Leaving the intermediate students with access to the playground on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Physical activity and play is crucial for the health and mental wellness of students.  The money raised in this campaign will go towards the purchase of a new playground for the students of Springwood Elementary School. $8,000 is the minimum amount needed for a basic playgound structure that is pictured.  If more funds are raised than our goal, then we can purchase a bigger, more elaborate playground structure.  Before any equipment is purchased, it will be discussed and voted on by the PAC.

Last year, parents were surveyed and the feedback was families would rather donate funds toward this initiative rather than do another fundraising campaign that involved students selling something. Which has led us to this gofundme campaign.
