Winning with Autism

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My 14 year old son MAX is asking for help to get to the 2016 Rubiks Cube Nationals and become the 1st US National Champion diagnosed with Autism.

Max was diagnosed with severe autism 11 years ago.  Since then, he has spent every day of his life in therapy to help develop his speech, social skills, fine and gross motor skills.

One day an occupational therapist introduced MAX to a rubik's cube to help him develop his fine motor skills.  To much of his families surprise, he quickly learned to master the solutions with incredible speed.

Looking for opportunities to help teach greater social skills, we entered MAX into a local competition in 2012.  He won 1st place for the 6x6 competition and more importantly, made some friends.

With the help of his therapists and the Rubik's Cube community, MAX's social skills have grown so much along with his ranking as he is currently ranked #2 Nationally for 4x4 and 6x6 Rubik's Cubes.

His dream is to go to the National Competiton in Portland, Oregon and compete against his idols and bring home a National Title.

The money raised would be used to purchase the air fare (July 29, 2016) and accomodations for the competition weekend for MAX and the support staff needed to help him travel on an airplane for the first time in his life.
