Everyday Victim Blaming is a training, consultancy and campaigning organisation.
We offer training and consultancy for media and frontline service providers who work with people who have experienced domestic and sexual violence and abuse. We also offer consultancy for those working in the field of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, particularly in terms of assessing their training programs.
We provide a safe, supportive, anonymous and non-judgemental space for those who have experienced domestic and sexual violence and abuse to share their experiences in confidence. We are raising funds to redevelop our website to increase security, as well as improve our ability to campaign against media misrepresenations of domestic and sexual violence and abuse.
We have put a total of £3000 on the fundraiser to cover any miscellaneous expenses. We do not expect the redevelopment to cost this much and we will stop the fundraiser when we have raised enough money to cover the full cost of redevelopment and the first year's hosting fees.
We have no external funding and do not want to apply for any of the small grants available, which would result in small, specialist services potentially losing out on funds they need to work directly with victim-survivors. We are working on plans to make EVB self-funding but, first, we need to redevelop the website.
Unfortunately, the minimun donation through Go Fund Me is £5. We understand that this will make it difficult for a number of our supporters to donate. We do have a paypal that can be used. Any donation will make a huge difference to our ability to pay to have the website redeveloped and make it more secure for those who trust us with their personal experiences.
