OHS Free/Reduced Lunch Fund

Ooltewah High School enrolls 1,460 students. Over 25% of those students are on a Free and Reduced Lunch plan. However, due to complications, it was made aware that many of these students were in danger of not being able to recieve lunch today (09/23/26).
Concerned students met with the administration to create an account that can be charged in order for F.R.L. students to be able to eat today (09/23/16) and until they have their forms turned in and processed.
Going door to door, almost $700 were raised by students and teachers, but there is still a ways to go. A multitude of students may not be abe to eat in the coming weeks due to paperwork processing, and there are many other kids in Hamilton county who didnt have the benefit of OHS's quick action this morning.
Theres still a ways to go before we can ensure that #everybodyeats. Donations will go to the charge account avaliable for those students who would otherwise not have been able to eat.
