Everleigh arrived earlier than expected, at 33 weeks and 4 days gestation. January 3, 2019. Weighing a tiny 3 pounds 15 ounces.
She came out a fighter though, which no major medical issues.
For the past 9 weeks of her life, she has been in and out of the hospital with eating and weight gain issues.
We have had to spend countless days and nights terrified for our little princess, wondering what was wrong. She ended up having a severe milk protein allergy, and through diets and multiple formula changes, she is finally eating and consistently gaining weight. The things we had to see her go through we don't wish on ANYONE in this world. And being apart from Addison for days and week at a time was pure torture. She absolutely loves her sister.
She is on the mend now and is doing great!
It has taken a toll on us as a family basically living at the hospital at times. With that came bills, parking fees, and of course eating out all day every day. We couldn't have planned this, and Amber has had to be out of work for way longer than we expected. Everleigh is healthy and doing great, but still needs a lot of her mommy's help and a lot of follow up doctor's appointments.
In NO WAY are we asking/begging for anyone's money. We are not struggling, we did have savings put away. But we are having a lot of friends and family ask how or what they can do to help and we are a little overwhelmed.
This was the easiest way we could "let" people help, as anything would go to bills we have accumulated in the past few months. We love our girls more than anything, and are PRAYING that this was it, and that Everleigh is home for good and continues to grow and stay healthy. We appreciate everyone who was shown support along the way.
