EVANSTON STREET SOCCER PITCH

 Some of the most widely used FREE resources in the City of Evanston for the past year have been the Street Soccer pitches!  But as much as our community loves them, neither the City of Evanston nor District 65 can afford to buy and keep them.  These pitches have been on loan from Mettle Sports at NO cost to the city, the schools, or the park district. The testimonials from players, parents, aldermen, coaches, principals, and the park district are overwhelmingly positive. Just a tiny sample: "Anybody can play" "Community gathering space" "Safe, fun, inviting" "Students can't wait to play each day" "Promotes health instead of video games" "Age, race, skill, gender all melt away in the pitch" “Meeting new people whom they otherwise would not have met” “Students had a blast!” “All students feel welcome to join the game regardless of age, skill, or soccer experience” "Develops incredible soccer players." “Please say it will stay forever!” “I’ve made so many new friends at the pitch!” Help Evanston own the Street Soccer pitch at Robert Crown Center!  The pitch includes the turf and can easily be moved once the Center is rebuilt and can be used for festivals, concerts and other special events. Help Mettle Sports improve communities and "Change the Face of U.S. Soccer" by providing greater access to The Beautiful Game, which brings people together, creating community, and empowering new friendships. **All funds will be credited to the City of Evanston for the transfer of ownership of the pitch from Mettle Sports to the City.
