MekAhStep CreativeArts program 2016

My name is Haylee Venus and I have something awesome I would love to share with you.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME ...........

I am a social Entreprenuer, philantrophist & Founder of entreprenuer network, Embrace U Empire (EUE). My aim is to make a positive impact & contribution to the world using my gifts,talents,life experiences and businesses to empower, inspire and transform lives.

GREAT NEWS.................

After a busy few months of Sweat, tears & fundraising. The EUE Team were able to deliver the first ever Mek Ah Step Creative Arts Programme. 

Mek Ah Step Creative Arts Programm explores different forms of Creative Arts for the individual & group to discover and enhance personal and social development. The programme is aimed at 5 yrs to 15 yrs old . It aims to assist & support young individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to make steps towards a brighter future.'

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK!!!
6 passionate Volunteers from the London EUE Team  commited and dedicated their time & skills to deliver Mek Ah Step at SOS Childrens Home in Barret Town, Jamaica over 4000 miles away from London. 

 Although all from  different creative backgrounds such as dance, drama, music, art & poetry we had to adapt daily to the culture & each child's needs, which sometimes required us to make changes to the programs planned activities to suit the children we were serving! Quite challenging! 
So as you can imagine we are extremely buzzing with passion as we have a chance to share & explore how using  creative arts can have effect on perspective .

Mek Ah Step showed us how creativity has served us in some of the most difficult times in our own lives. Offering us the an alternative opportunity to express ourselves and change by experimenting in different ways of thinking, feeling and being.

The best parts of the experience  with these beautiful children was the laughs we had, the  real life conversations we shared & exploration of pure natural talents all brought to surface by creativity! 

This was just the first trip and although there are many things we can improve on the programme, there are many things that we witnessed which we believe may change these children's lives forever. 

So we are working on making MekAhStep even more amazing,  and we plan to deliver Mek AhStep again in 2016 in an orphanage in Jamaica! We will also be running some of the workshops here in our local community & schools to help us raise awareness of the programme & inspire many more young people  to make positive steps towards the future.

We want you to be a part of this journey with us!

In 2016, 10 volunteers will travel to An orphanage  to deliver Mek Ah Step Creative Arts Programme but we need your help to make it happen! This is only one of the many places we aim to visit! 

We will be hosting a series of events & campaigns also to reach our target.
