Our Motto: One Continent, One Spirit!

Our Project consists of 2 parts:

The European Cultural Choice 2017 (online voting, including 36 countries)

An initiative which aims to bring people together,  inviting everyone to join a representative voting, by choosing the Great Minds from Your country. The project has been active for more than 1 year now, in 36 countries. Last year we received thousands of votes to create a TOP 30 list of the most prominent figures from each country (1080 nominees - click the map to make it larger):

The European Pre-Choices took place from 21st March to 15th June 2016, with a freely expandable list in 36 countries. The Choices this fall will feature the first 30 Great Minds that qualified in spring.


We believe, that this initiative can help to bring us together by creating an online platform. Furthermore, there has never been such initiative so far – to create a top list together of our most prominent figures. We’ve come to an era, a digital era, where we have the tools to bring people together and help them rediscover their rich culture.


We are not talking about an artistic, abstract initiative – we would like to honor our Great Minds, whose works became simply nothing more than obligatory readings. We are not here to improve public education, we simply want to reach out to people and offer an opportunity for an interesting cross-border conversation.
 
The European Gods (a contemporary exhibition)

Our shared history couldn’t be fully understood without mentioning the time of the Gods. The Greek Gods, who became – similarly to our Great Minds – nothing more than compulsory figures. But they became much less: ordinary objects, that can be found anywhere.


Many brands around the world have decided to use the name of ancient gods. That is how Zeus became a simple meat grinder, while Apollo became a rusty steel spanner. The collection of these Gods from all around Europe started in 1984. Therefore the project’s „analog” part, the European Gods is meant to be a contemporary art exhibition.


We would like to take our Gods, together with our Great Minds – The European Pantheon Project – to several countries (Brussels, Berlin and others) and present the eternal, digital pantheon. Where finally both our Great Minds, and Gods could have a rightful place.T

he collection is huge, and we know that our project thinks on a big scale – but we never aimed to become something grandiose. We’ve been working on both projects until no
w using our own resources, but now we need your help. We hope that you will join our cause and help us bring our Gods and Great Minds back for one tiny second!

You are a Non-European (USA, Canada, Australia, New-Zealand)?Even though our history differs, we share the same cultural heritage – we share similar history. Our Great Minds are also Yours! Our paths might differ, but we believe that the fate of Europe also matters to you. Therefore, we invite you to join our project with your votes, shares, and spread the word about our cause!

Our future expenses:

- Web development and Voting modules  15.000$
Get a web developer to create a professional homepage for our project.
As free voting modules have their own drawbacks, we would like to develop our own. Currently, we are us, ng Facebook to host the Cultural Choice Project.

- Hire local editors and expand our team 30.000$
We are low on human resources and would like to hire several specialists for our team. Furthermore, we would like to hire local editors in all 36 countries to manage our social media pages.

-Marketing expenses 35.000$
We would like to invest a considerable amount into Facebook, Twitter and Google campaigns, to spread the word and reach out to more people.
