Help Fund Chilean Food Stand

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My name is Esteban and I was born and raised in Valparaiso, Chile. When I was only 11, my parents decided to relocate to the great city of New York. Growing up in Chile, I was able to enjoy my grandmother's home made cooking. I enjoyed watching her cook for the whole household, and I hoped that one day I would be able to cook those delicious meals for myself and others.

In Chile, the "completo" is a very popular and delicious street food. The completo is basically a bigger version of the hot dog, but with many more toppings.

Unfortunately, the last Chilean restaurant "Pomaire "
in NYC closed down in 2013 leaving "San Antonio" bakery as the only direct source of Chilean food in all of New York City. Opening up a restaurant would be too expensive and require a lot of experience, so I looked elsewhere.

Having worked at a famous flea food market in Brooklyn (Smorgasburg), I've gained valuable skills  to help me succeed and hopefully land me the opportunity to open up my own food stand.

In order to purchase all of the materials needed to set up a food stand in NY, the cost would be roughly $7500.

I am passionate about bringing my culture and my love for food together. I am hopeful that I will soon be able to bring the "completo" to New York.
