Help for the Escalada Family

Donation protected
On Friday, November 11, Michele Escalada and her family of six, lost their home in an unexpected fire. Fortunately, the entire family and their five pups were able to escape with the help of a few neighbors and kind strangers before the flames consumed most of the house.

The fire took with it the home, their cars, and most of their other personal possessions. Upon returning to their house, they found that the aftermath rendered most furniture, appliances, bedding, and other things unsalvageable.

Although they lost almost everything and Michele’s dad suffered some burns, the family is grateful to be alive and safe. They are especially thankful to the strangers that immediately offered assistance when they saw the house burning down.

Thank you again so much to the people who have supported this family, and thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to help, no matter in what way. As the Escalada family continues to deal with and heal from this tragic event, let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

For those who are able to, monetary support will be accepted on this page. Most of her closest family and friends have seen first-hand how much this fire has affected their family, so any contribution would be helpful and tremendously appreciated.

A note from Michele:

Hello, you lovely people. Thank you so, so much for visiting this page. Please know you are appreciated.

Asking for help does not come easily. But we have to move forward from this and to do so, its necessary to ask you all for your assistance. Even little messages here and there from our loved ones has sped up the healing process exponentially. We are so very appreciative of others taking their time out of their days to help us out.

Donations will be used first and foremost to secure a new home for my family. A lot of the footwork of the aftermath falls onto my mom, who in the midst of all of this, is working and still preparing to receive her teaching credentials. Being able to move quickly into a new home will allow her to return her focus to her studies. My papa, who is still recovering, has residual costs from being hospitalized and lost all of his previous medication to the fire. Out of the six of us in our family, he has has lost most of his prized possessions, such as his framed naval uniform from the military; items that are simply irreplaceable. I would like to ease their hardship, stress, and worry. I would love to make the transition from what has passed to what we can look forward to, as seamless as possible.

With your help, I can do so. They aren’t currently aware that we’re raising money so it would be absolutely amazing to surprise them with what we’re doing. The overwhelming love and support has helped us move forward rather than dwell on tragedy. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. Endless appreciation for you all.
