Eric Rides For Charity
My name is Eric Widing,
I am riding a bicycle from San Francisco, California to Boston, Massachusetts. This journey across the United States is approximately 3,100 miles.
I intend to embark on such an endeavor for a simple purpose, and that is to raise awareness and unite the good will of many. My vision of this collaborative effort is to help make a positive change in the lives of those who could benefit greatly from our modest assistance.
I am riding for the benefit of the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention, The Wounded Warrior Project, and The California Drought Organization. In addition, I intend to support both The Rise Above Foundation and the John Burton Foundation, providing services for foster children in both Worcester, Ma and San Francisco, Ca. ALL proceeds go to charity.
My goal is simple and is intended to spread a positive message of compassion and unity. I do this to honor the traumatized, the confused and those who are too special to lose. I do this to honor those whose sacrifices are too often easily overlooked. I do this to futher raise awareness of the ongoing drought that plagues the state of California. I do this to support children in foster care with limited resources and opportunity, for our future lies in their hands. Together we can manifest our good will, help those in need, and express our compassion and unity from coast to coast.
My sacrifice is modest, yet will test the resiliance of the human spirit. The underlying and overwhelming feeling is this: we are all connected, we are all one. We must help each other to create a better world for those who will follow in our footsteps.
Follow me on my journey across the United States of America. Along the way I will document my story and the story of others who represent the causes that our charity can support.
