I had never heard of it before but as I read an article on CNN, I quickly realized something had to be done. No child should be shamed because of their parent's inability to afford to pay off a school lunch debt. No child should have a nutritious lunch taken from their hands in front of their peers and be made to eat a cheese sandwich or in some cases left with nothing at all because of an owed balance on their account. This article really inspired me to take action in my own community as well as help others in communities that are not mine. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children everywhere. Let's start this mission together. Let's work together to end school lunch shaming.
