Emily's Trip to the Amazon

Hi! My name is Emily, I'm 17 years old and I am raising money to fund my trip to Nicaragua through ME to WE.
Just a little bit about myself, I am a high school student with a passion for social justice. Ever since I was young, I wanted to pursue a career that would help others, such as a Police Officer or a Lawyer. Now that I’m a bit older, I have finally put my passion for social justice to use. I am studying to become a child and youth worker and I do quite a bit of volunteer work through an organization called 360kids as a Youth Ambassador Leader.
Once I got to High School, I heard more and more about Me to We and was very interested in the work they’re doing around the world. That’s when I decided to participate in the ME to WE youth volunteer trips. The trip to Nicaragua is an opportunity to volunteer abroad and explore a new culture while working on WE Charity development projects. By going on this trip, I will not only get my hands dirty but will help remove the barriers to education for young community members. I will also be able to learn more about ME to WE projects that focus on disaster relief, income opportunities, education, health care and clean water.
The trip costs $3,995 which includes round-trip airfare, accommodations while on the ground, three meals daily, bottled and/or purified water, and entrance fees to activities.
I know that this trip would be an experience of a lifetime and it would definitely change my perspective on my life and the lives of others. I will be able to travel with purpose and that is amazing! I would be so grateful to be able to travel and volunteer, helping low income communities in Nicaragua. Any support to help me on this journey will be much appreciated and I am extremely grateful to be able to experience a trip like this!
