Ellie's Dog Rescue B-Day Fundraiser

Our daughter, Ellie will be turning 9 in February. She loves animals and asked if she could have a dog-themed birthday party at home. We started talking about it and got on the topic of how she could help animals in need. We have talked about this in the past, so it was nothing out of the ordinary.
One of the ideas was to collect donations for a local dog rescue for her birthday. We would let our family and friends know that if they wanted to help, they could bring a dog bone, dog food, treats and/or any contribution they wanted to make to help rescue dogs and drop them off at her party. We would then donate everything that we collected to Love is Fur Ever Dog Rescue.
She was thrilled with this idea and couldn't contain her excitement. She started to tell all of her friends right away and then decorated a collection box for the contributions. Today, she told me that she wanted to use the money she has saved personally to buy dog food.
Ellie has a huge heart and a passion for animals. Her heart is fully in this. We believe in her. We believe in her
goal to help save the lives of puppies and dogs in need and we support her completely. We want her to know that she can make a difference in this world and we want to help empower her to do so.
