Get On the Bus & Vote Tour 2018

The Oconee County Progressives are raising money for Athens Area Discrimination Movement’s (AADM) "Get on the Bus and Vote" tour geared to educate and empower citizens to vote. Volunteers will drive young people, including adults who live in marginalized communities to the polls. Together we can spark social change. This is a nonpartisan movement and designed to motivate the youth (18 and up) and minority voters.
Tour dates:
Saturday, October 27th Community Centers
Friday, November 2nd Community Centers and HS
Monday, November 5th Community Centers and HS
Target: HS, Colleges, and Community Centers in Athens and surrounding areas (within 55 miles radius).
Time and designated pick-up and drop off location TBA.
What to expect:
To educate and empower voters, prior to departure, a jump off celebration and presentation will be given by AADM president Mokah-Jasmine Johnson and special guest speakers at selected locations. Volunteers will arrive at designated High Schools, Colleges, and Community Centers to pick up riders.
