Help Eden get to the DNC in July

Hello! My name is Eden McFadden and I was recently elected as delegate to represent Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this July. I reside in California's 34th congressional district, under congressman Xavier Beccerra, a pledged Hillary Superdelegate :(

I am currently on the leadership team at Team Bernie LA, a grassroots volunteer office that focuses on leading phone-banking, canvassing and voter registration across Los Angeles.  I also organized #occupyCNN, the media bias protest outside of the CNN building in Hollywood, CA. 

The costs estimated by CADEM for attending the convention are high, between $3,600-$4,100. A breakdown of the costs are as follows:

Airfare- $400-$900
4 nights at hotel- $2600
Food/incidentals- $450+
Statewide meeting- $150+

I realize that the hotel is the most expensive part of the trip and people are trying to find alternative places to stay. However, I find it very important that delegates stay at the hotel used by the DNC. Delegates will stay in hotels with other delegates from their state. This INCLUDES Hillary Clinton delegates. I think it is important to be at that hotel, so I can spend each moment that I am not at the convention creating a dialogue and convincing Hillary delegates to change their votes. My personal goal is to flip at least one Hillary delegate per day that I am in Philadelphia. 

I set my goal at the low-end of CADEM's estimate, hoping to share a room with my fellow California Bernie delegates to reduce cost.  Any extra funds that exceed what I need for this trip will be donated to Bernie Sander's campaign.

Bernie has broken fundraising records during his campaign by asking for small donations. If all Bernie Supporters could contribute $3 and share this fundraiser, my trip would be funded in no time!

The flight costs at this moment are very high, and keep rising the closer we get to convention, so I would like to book my flight ASAP.
