The East Bluff Community Center is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization located at 512 E. Kansas St. in one of Peoria’s lowest income, but richest historical neighborhoods. With a Mission “To foster community engagement and neighborhood stabilization by providing a vibrant place to gather” the Center offers a clean, safe, and welcoming campus, a place where individuals, groups, and organizations host activities, events, programs, and human services.
Over the first seven years of existence, we have witnessed tremendous growth in popularity and in community usage, with thousands of people having participated in community, civic, and family events and programs, including Boys & Girls Club after school and summer programs, YMCA youth basketball, a weekly food pantry for area families, and Turning Point substance abuse counseling services. Additionally, a number of non-profit and community organizations occupy office space.
To support this growing number of activities and to allow us to have an even bigger impact on the community, in 2019 the Board launched a $1.5M fundraising initiative. Funds collected will help us upgrade our 100 year old building and allow us to continue current operations while seeking to expand program and service offerings to improve the lives of our east bluff residents.
We welcome your interest in our Mission. We likewise welcome your financial support as we embark on the next 5 years.
