Mission: To erect a monument that will honor the members of all five branches of our military, both past and present, for their bravery, dedication, service, and sacrifice.

To help me with this project, I am asking for exposure and financial assistance. I estimate that this project will cost $16,000-$18,000. To earn that, I am accepting donations, fundraising by selling Memorial Flags, and spreading the word about my project.

Although my plans aren't final, the monument will be a pentagonal shaped obelisk, sculpted out of black-granite, that comes to a point at the top. It will be around 5 feet tall before placed in the flowerbed. At the top of each side of the obelisk, there will be a bronze, six-inch military seal, one for each branch of the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.) At the top will rest a bronze eagle with its wings spread. On the base will be the quote, "Freedom is Not Free."

Even the smallest donation and/or publicity would help me accomplish my goal and achieve my Eagle rank.

THANK YOU to all those who supported my Eagle Scout Service Project! Your donations helped me reach my ultimate goal. I am very happy to report that my monument was dedicated on May 24, 2014. It stands in front of Dardenne Prairie City Hall (Missouri), and is meant to honor the men and women in all five branches of the U.S. Military, both past and present, for their bravery, dedication, service, and sacrifice. Our FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.

Bryan, nice job on the Eagle Scout project. I have witnessed your dad expressing his thanks to military and am impressed with how this family tradition has made such a fine impression on you. Good luck with the project.
