Eagle Scout Project Peckham Park

Hi, my name is Joe Venables and I'm trying to raise money for my eagle scout project.  In trying to find an eagle scout project (the last step before becoming an eagle scout) one must think of a part of their community that they would like to benefit.  I was in Little League since T-Ball, and am still in the Babe Ruth League this year.  Since the Coginchaug Little League had such a profound impact on my character as a team player, I wanted my project to give back to the community that helped develop me into the person I am today.  A big part of the eagle project is fundraising.  The scout must come up with a way to raise a quantity of money that is adequate to meet their funding needs.  My idea for this project is to move the batting cage to alongside the first baseline fence, and route electricity to the end of the cage to provide for a pitching machine.   I am also going to put a 15 foot extension onto the cage so that it is long enough for players of all field sizes to practice.  Putting the cage in its new location would eliminate the problem of weed growth that overruns the cage every year.  The cage will be cleaner, and the pitching machine will save practice time. Monetary help for this project would mean a lot to me, and the Coginchaug Little League when the kids are able to bat in a cage supported with a pitching machine and a 15 foot extension.  Thank you for the support, the Little League and I thank you.
