Duncan- Village Centre
Donation protected
When Duncan was in the UK for three months, he spent his time volunteering at the Village Centre in Englefield Green. He loved it there, and was welcomed by everyone involved. He helped them to make the place more accessible, used his knowledge and kindness to assist others when they needed it, and to make everyone feel at home. The centre does a lot for the community. They have a finger in every pie you might say, from helping new parents, to community care, to technological assistance and a computer room, showers, lifts to the post office, classes, a coffee shop... a little bit of everything.
They are also lovely people, and were kind enough to create a 'Duncan's Doorbell' in his memory. This allows people who need assistance entering the building to make themselves known.
It's a wonderful place, run by wonderful people, in a wonderful community, and my wonderful brother loved it. So this Christmas, I'd like to try and help them out a little bit in his memory. If you can spare a little that would be great.
Duncan loved this time of year. Send a little cheers his way this Christmas, and have a very happy holiday!
