WE NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE DONATE £5 TO HELP FUND OUR CAMPAIGN TO UPGRADE THIS OUTDATED, DANGEROUS AND NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE ROAD.
The A75 is a major Euro Route which links, Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. The Ferry Ports at Cairnryan are the only Major Ports in the UK not currently served by a Dual Carriagway. The single lane road which currently serves them is choked up numerous times daily as the ferry traffic, which consists of many HGV's limited to 40mph travel along it's 100 mile length in unpassable convoys, creating frustration and dangerous overtaking.
In addition we believe this outdated road, if putting off tourism and strangling the economy of Dumfries & Galloway. Modern Infrastructure has been proven to provide a 4x cost benefit to the local economy.
To date the group have been pivotal in securing open petitions in the Scottish Parilament and a Strategic Transport Review to be conducted for SW Scotland this year. This has all been done out of members of the Actions Groups own pockets to date. But now, more than ever we need resources to allow us to gather in information to help inform the review and to do this we need funds to print and distribute materials.
