Drone Enthusiast Helping Non-Profit
Donation protected
Aloha, my name is Kalaninui Akau
I have been flying drones for over a year. I have helped out with compilations for non-profits like churches, youth groups, and other organizations. My drone however due to technical problems, disappeared and never made its way back during my last flight. Unfortunately, I have found myself in a situation of not being able to afford a new one.
The videos I compiled included videos of whales, youth activities, and community functions for the various non profits I have worked with.
I have never charged anyone money for my footage, nor have I even gained any monetization from my videos.
My videos are purely for the memorialization of activities for the kids I work with, community functions, and the conservation of the Humpback Whales and other Marine Mammals in Hawaii.
I have been asked to help out other community functions and organizations to gather drone footage and it would be a great help if people could help me. I have been asked to help out with several non-profit organizations to do camp videos as well as film activities that would go to the benefit of youth here in Hawaii.
The funds are not on rush order, however, the sooner the better. The sooner I can get back in the air, the sooner I can go back contributing to the community and non-profits in Hawaii.
$400- Would go to repairing a drone that was donated to me from the Habib Family.
$800- Would go to buying a brand new mavic pro
$1200-Would go to buying a brand new mavic pro AND repair the drone that was donated to me (as well as send it back to them)
$2500(not necessary, but would like to see if possible)- Would allow me to get back in the air with a new mavic pro AND repair the drone donated to me AND buy a mavic pro II
All excess money will be donated to Young Life to help high schoolers go to camp.
It would be a great help to me and I would greatly appreciate the support. Mahalo and God Bless!
