Doug Palm Emergency Medical Fund

This campaign has been established to help Doug and June Palm with extensive medical bills as a result of an accident on the evening of  September 22nd.  
   Doug was riding his scooter home from work and the driver of an oncoming vehicle made a left turn in front of him which caused Doug to hit the vehicle.  Doug sustained numerous injuries and was airlifted to a hospital an hour away. The next day he underwent emergency surgery to repair a broken jaw, broken wrist & broken femur. He also sustained a concussion, a broken pelvis and several lacerations which required numerous stitches.  
   He spent several days in ICU and was recently transferred to an orthopedic rehabilitation center, where they are working with him to recover to a point of being able to transition from a wheelchair to a walker and eventually being able to walk again.  His jaw was broken at both hinges and the surgeon had to repair his jaw with numerous screws and a metal plate to replace his shattered chin.  His jaw is wired shut for at least six weeks for the initial healing process to take place.  
  In addition to extensive medical bills that will not be covered by the at-fault driver's insurance,  June has to immediately renovate the doorways in their home to accommodate a wheelchair so she can bring him home when he is well enough to be discharged from  the ortho facility.
