Help Save Winston

> Winston came back to Double Dog Rescue depressed, as his prior owner had passed away, and the family could not keep him. That depression ended as soon as he met his new family! Unfortunately, within days of adopting Winston they noticed he had developed terrible cough and was having trouble breathing. A trip to the vet confirmed their worst fears. Winston has a condition called Laryngeal Paralysis, a condition in which the nerves and muscles that control the movements of the larynx cease to function.

>When they reached out to DDR to tell us about his condition we asked them if they would like to surrender him back to us and adopt another dog. They wouldn't even think of it! Winston was already part of their family and they would not give up on him. They immediately started looking into options to treat Winston. Lucky for Winston, their is a low risk, highly successful procedure that can completely reverse his condition, but it is a very costly surgery. As much as his new family loves him they just do not have the funds needed to pay for it and Double Dog promised we would not let them down and help pay for this costly surgery.
