Don8 to Sk8 for Mayou

Spende geschützt
Hi! My name is Mayou Hayashi. I am 14 years old and a highly competitive figure skater. I started skating as an 8-year-old at a rink near my home. When I first stepped on the ice, I slipped and fell. Everyone around me, attached to the wall, looked down at me. As I tried to get up again, I saw in the distance, a girl spinning, fast and sharp. She was just like the girl on television. I wondered if I could do the same. I got back onto my feet, and tried at least to move. It was harder than it looked. When I got home, I asked my mom if I could start lessons. A few years later, I switched to my current couch and got inspired to competitive figure skating. After competing for my forth year, I got all of my doubles including double axel.
In my fifty year, first year of novice, I got my triple salchow and triple lutz. I am currently working on getting the rest of my triples and combos.
I skipped from Freestyle 3 to Juvenile in a year. The year after that time, I was able to pass all my MIF tests up to Senior, and just recently passed my Novice FS test. Last season, I was able to place the bronze medal in Qualifying round of Intermediate.
I spend time on the ice, 6 days, about 24 hours a week in New Jersey, my home rink. I compete from the Ice House of New Jersey Figure Skating Club. I live in Queens, New York, so transportation is a lot of time and money. I commute for about 3 hours each day by myself, with the help of my mother and coaches.
Coaching fees and training fees are even more expensive. My training involves acting, ballet, pilates, gyrotonics, parabolic (gym training) and still many others. I have two coaches that help me with all my skating: skating skills, jumps, spins, and choreography. Every year I also need new high level skates and dresses that can cost even more!
My parents who support me the most carries lots of stress and are always busy. My dad works 14 hours everyday, morning to midnight and I don't see him at all. My mom carries 3 different jobs just for my skating. She is also a dancer and a yoga instructor so she gives me lots of advice. She schedules all of my training, education, and make sures I stay healthy and strong. I have two other siblings that sacrifice many things for me to skate. My brother does everything by himself, understanding that my parents are away and my sister does all of the chorus.
I get out of school early everyday, so I can get some education and more ice time. All of my teachers and friends help me keep up to class by taking their time and teaching me or giving me the lesson in the morning and lunchtime. I never get to see some teachers in school, but keep me up with all the homework. And because of them, I am still able to stay in the honors class.
Almost a year ago, I got homeschooled so I can concentrate on just skating. I was at the rink from 9am to 7pm, skating and training, and working on school work during my break.
Although last season did not go as well as I wished, my mother is still willing to help me for next season. After Regionals, I was able to get my triple salchow with the little time I had left of homeschooling.
Now I am back to school, and I am still able to skate right now because of my family, friends, coaches and teachers. Since I will be entering high school this September, this season will be harder for me to skate. But I am stronger and smarter than last year and I know better than ever.
I created this GoFundMe account to ask for some help.
I hope that this will help my parents supporting my skating and that I will have a great season.
Thank You so much for all of your support!!
