Dominican Nuns W.S. Renovation

The Lay Dominicans of the Mother of God Chapter are requesting your kind donations to assist our beloved Dominican Nuns of the Mother of God Monastery in the repair of a portion of the lower level of Saint Catherine's Hall.  The Nuns have allowed the laity to use this room for various activities and functions for many years.  There is  serious structural damage to the foundation as well as  water issues; including mold and asbestos tile that need to be removed and replaced as soon as possible.  The exterior piping & interior rehab rough estimate is $80,000 +   (a wish list for the future would possibly a portable wheelchair ramp).  Additionally, the steeple is also in need of urgent repairs as well.

The Dominican Nuns vocation as Cloistered Nuns is to intercede with the Father of Mercies for the universal Church as well as for the needs and salvation of the whole world.   They pray daily for all of us and  do not ask for monetary help as the monastery is supported by donations and some benefactors.  Any monetary support that you can provide would help  immensely to defer the huge cost of these repairs/renovations.

The Lay Dominicans  of the Mother of God Chapter would be so grateful to everyone and all for any donations to help the Nuns.  We want to support them in any way that we are able.  Being a not-for-profit organization, we also maintain the chapter expenses through donations.

The Mother of God Monastery is open daily 6 am to 5:30 pm for silent prayer and  Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament  in the afternoons.
