DOCTA HERO PROJECT

BACKGROUND

We are Docta, a social enterprise based in Ghana focused on connecting people to the right care at the right time across Africa. The way we will achieve this is by building an omnipresent care delivery model that brings care closer to home for patients and empowers them with the right information at the right time to live longer healthier lives.

Our Team has been on the ground in Ghana for the past year running pilots, conducting due diligence research and obtaining critical consumer insight to inform the development of our care delivery model. Armed with this knowledge, we set out to create a model that will address most of these gaps in care and deliver a premium service to patients at an affordable price. Our goal is to build a network of mini clinics across communities in Africa starting with Ghana. Each clinic will be about 16ft by 30ft and offer patients a compelling value proposition including:

-A clean, healing, safe and comfortable environment where patients can walk in and be welcomed by a caring medical team that will treat them with dignity and respect.
-No wait time (0-5mins)
-Free follow-up with your doctor via video or voice within 48-72 hours
-A dedicated app with access to your medical record and timely feedback from your doctor directly delivered to your app to help you stay on track with your health no matter where you are.
-Affordable (~$20 per consultation)

By keeping our real estate footprint low, focusing on lean operation and smart application of technology, we can scale this rapidly to 100s and 1000s of locations closer to the patient's home rather than a few big locations unevenly dispersed and farther away from the patient.

Fundraising Goal

Goal:

We will greatly appreciate your support  in helping us build our first clinic in Ghana. Our Goal is to raise $100-150k by July 2018 to be utilized as outlined below. This is a great opportunity for you to be involved in a movement of Africans and other friends of Africa from all races who want to be part of the emerging story of Africa’s economic emancipation by investing in meaningful social enterprises who are solving unique problems that places Africa in a better position to fulfill its potential.
