We won't rest until UBC divests

We are a group of UBC students, faculty, and staff calling on UBC to immediately forgo further investments in fossil fuel companies, and divest from all existing fossil fuel holdings (roughly $85 million) within five years.
Students and faculty have voted in support of divestment. Universities across North America are starting to pull out of fossil fuels. The Board of Governors’ decision to reject our divestment proposal is by no means an end to the battle; the movement continues to grow and we will keep fighting until the university divests. Over the next year, we will organize direct actions, mobilize alumni and expand our network of student supporters to make it clear that the UBC community will not let UBC maintain its destructive ties with the fossil fuel industry. But we need your help!
We need funds to run campus-wide direct actions and events, to facilitate teach-ins and trainings and to produce promotional materials. Your donation will make these plans a reality by enabling us to produce signs, banners, posters, fliers, artwork and more. Your support is deeply appreciated!
