Dental Outreach Nepal 2019

Thanks a mill for making it this far!

Next July, all going well, I will be travelling to Nepal as part of a group of fourth year dental students from University College Cork. We are going for 2 weeks to some of the most remote areas in the Himalayas to provide free dental treatment to those in need, with the charity ‘Around Good People’. 

Around Good People is a non-profit organisation, bringing unique community-led bespoke oral health care delivery outreaches in the remote unserviced communities of mountainous rural Nepal, in collaboration with international dental/oral health professionals and students. This unique student-led self-sustaining initiative has been bringing about oral health care delivery, servicing thousands of people, at no charge, throughout the mountain communities of Nepal for past three years. Their mission is to address the inadequate gap in oral healthcare infrastructure in Nepal.

Dentistry is by no means easy but is so rewarding and I really want to use what I have learnt in the past three years to help those who have no access to dental treatment. In order to make this happen, I need to raise £1800 to cover the costs of equipment, dental materials, translators and accommodation. 

All funds raised go directly towards the program and any donations would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to your support.
