The Delaware County Fair board has always been committed to providing the very best family-friendly entertainment at the fair and that tradition of excellence will continue.
This hard working dedicated group of volunteers constantly examines and evaluates just how to do that with the limited funds that are available to them. Daily maintenance of the buildings and grounds and upgrades, at the very least, is a costly venture. The proceeds from the fair are a tremendous benefit in helping to accomplish that.
The grandstand entertainment committee has made adjustments and improvements continually in an effort to be fresh and at the same time stay within their financial restraints.
In that same spirit of positive family entertainment the fair board has decided to remove hog wrestling from this years fair lineup. The board will do its best to seek a replacement with the short time they have to accomplish that.
We are sending forth a challenge to those that voiced their opinion in opposition to that event. We challenge those individuals to continue their passion by making a donation to the fair board in their name for concern for all animals.
The board would like to thank in advance those that are going to accept the challenge and put their money where their passion is. Our goal is to replace the revenue lost from that event.
