Deborah Scott’s Legacy and Calling for Support
On October 17th, 2016 a beloved member of our community, Deborah Scott passed away, due to complications related to her five-year battle with breast cancer.
I'm taking this time, to reach out to her friends and family to ask for help in order to provide her the memorial she deserves and the support her only child and soon to be granddaughter will need to begin a life without her. Deb would be the first to give the shirt off her back and the last to ask for help. So we are here as a family and as friends asking for support, in relation to her daughter and her soon to be granddaughter. Deb was an exemplary mother, she absolutely adored and loved her daughter Asia, and was truly excited about becoming a grandmother and meeting her granddaughter in January 2017. Even though she was very ill in her last months of life, she remained positive and excited about every day in it, planning for the arrival of her granddaughter, and continued to pour into her community with service. Deb was truly committed to her community and she taught fitness classes up until a day before she was admitted to the hospital. Time and time again, Deb overcame health challenge after health challenge, never appearing phased by her ongoing health issues, which is why her recent passing is very difficult to accept by all of us who knew and loved her.
Anyone who knew Deb knew that she kept going, she didn’t let anything keep her from living her life to the fullest and making memories. Deb would want us to continue this legacy for her daughter. The support we are requesting will cover, up-front cost for funeral expenses, as well as support for her daughter and soon to be arriving, granddaughter. Deb was in the middle of planning a shower for her daughter before her passing, to alleviate much of the overwhelming responsibilities that her daughter has to face; it is our hope that you can help us in achieving a goal of $10,000.00 by Tuesday, October 25th, however, if the goal is not reached we will extend it as needed. Whether it is $1 or $20, anything would be extremely appreciated, additional donations items are listed below. Our goal is a far reach, but anything will help and we know we can count on the love and support of our friends and community.

*Viewing, Thursday, October 27, 2 16 from 4pm-7pm at Morgan & Jones Funeral Home (4200 Broadway, Sacramento, Ca. 95817) *Red, White, and Pink Flowers can also be donated for the ceremony no later than Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016.
*Funeral, Friday, October 28, 2016, from 11am-1pm at Morgan and Jones Funeral Home (4200 Broadway, Sacramento, Ca. 95817) *Red, White, and Pink Flowers can also be donated for the ceremony no later than Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016.
*Celebration of Life Repast, Friday, October 28, 2016, from 530pm-830pm Sac Fitness 5400 Power Inn Rd, Sacramento, Ca. 95820 *(Food items can be donated on Friday between 6am-4pm)
