David Colbath's Recovery Fund

$35,600 of $35,000 goal

Raised by 317 people in 12 months
Created November 6, 2017
David Colbath, a victim of Sunday’s mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, is currently under the care of the medical staff at Brooke Army Medical Center, located in San Antonio, Texas.

Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected in Sunday’s tragedy. We would like to show our support for David and his family whether that is in prayer, words of encouragement on this page, or a financial contribution to help with uncovered medical expenses.

We have created a gofundme account to show our love and to help alleviate some of the financial stress and burdens David and his family will face during his long road to recovery.

To help maximize donations for David, we ask that you please share this campaign with your family and friends. Let’s all come together to do as much as we can to help this incredible man and his family.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
Dustin, Jennifer, and the Seidel Construction Family

Hello everyone, this is David Colbath.
I would like to thank all the people who have donated to this fund for their warmth and generosity. You’ve all been angels administering to me, with your love, kindness, all your financial support, but especially love and prayers are coveted most of all. I am in great hands here at BAMC. The staff has been unbelievably great, from the housekeeping to nurses and doctors. I am so incredibly fortunate to be in this facility. I will continue to give you updates as I progress. In faith and body I am and will come out stronger. Evil had its day but I have a greater God and thru this “ let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid”.
Thank you,
David Colbath

The family has notified us that David's breathing tube has been removed. GREAT news!

He will have another surgery today on his arm. This injury has been prioritized since the beginning and David's team of doctors are working diligently and David is fighting faithfully. Please be in prayer today specifically for this arm surgery.
Breathing treatments have begun in hopes to prevent any secondary lung infections. Again, please be in prayer specifically to keep any and all secondary infections at bay.
At an unknown time, David will undergo surgery to repair a shattered ankle.

The family cannot be more grateful for the out pour of love, support, and prayers.
David has an incredibly difficult road to recovery ahead of him both physically and mentally. Please continue to lift him, his family, and doctors up in prayer.
Thank you.

David is doing better, but still at BAMC. It will be a long road to recovery after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, but he is a fighter and is remaining strong. The family appreciates all the support!
