Our names are Darvy and Megan Culleton. We would love to realize our dream of starting a family and having a baby, but we need a little help. We're hoping that your kindness and generosity will help us have the family we always knew we were supposed to have.
My wife Megan will be a great mom. I've know that for a very long time. I've also always dreamed of having kids. I was just waiting to meet the woman of my dreams. And I did. Now, we have a wonderful relationship and we want to be parents.
The problem is, I have Cystic Fibrosis. It's a fatal lung disease that affects almost all of the systems of my body, including reproduction. I was given a whole new life on December 19, 2006 when someone's most tragic of events turned into the gift of a lifetime for me. As someone was dying, I was given the gift of life through organ donation. For that, I am grateful every single moment of my life and I have tried my best to give back in every way possible.
If it wasn't for that gift of life, I never would have met the love of my life, my wife Megan. She has changed my life in ways I never imagined possible. And now, all we want more than ANYTHING else is to start a family and raise a baby of our own. Unfortnately, for most men with Cystic Fibrosis, the odds of natural reproduction is slim to none and through testing we found out it's closer to none.
So we are asking for help. We have to go through the process of In Vitro Fertilization, more commonly known as IVF, in order for us to conceive a baby. It is an exremely expensive proccess and we have taken it almost as far as we can with the budget we have.
We need to raise another $10,000 to $15,000 in order to acheive our dreams of being parents. That's the reality we face right now. These are the actual costs required to finish the process of IVF. We just can't come up with that amount of money in the time frame we have. It would be impossible for us.
Any donation you can make would be appreciated more than we could ever begin to explain. We promise to be the best parents we could ever be and give our child all the love in the world.
