Surgery for sweet TWH Blitzen

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marcie Morey.  I rehabilitate and train horses for a living; mentally, emotionally as well as academically, using natural horsemanship, kindness, patience & understanding.  I also hold clinics to educate humans to understand horses better and to be more successful.  I am known for and very specialized at this.  However, I can only take on 2 training horses at a time because I am a single mom with a son with special needs.  I get no financial support nor can I afford to hire physical help.  Therefore, my income stays very limited due to only being able to take on so much work per month.  I work 12 hour days as a mom, trainer, farm maintainer, etc...  Any farm mom knows exactly what I'm talking about.  And try doing it ALL by yourself!
On occasion, I may take an unwanted horse in from an owner because the horse has issues that far outweigh the skills of the owner and/or that would keep anyone from wanting the horse until they are fully rehabilitated and retrained.  This cost is on me, of course, which I accept as my responsibility until they are ready to be re-homed.  Sometimes, this can take a couple of years and by then, even if I get a price for the horse, it barely covers what I have put into them.
At this time, I have a horse that needs more than the usual daily care.  His barn name is "Blitzen".  He is a 6 yr old, registered Tennessee Walking horse gelding.  I acquired him because an inexperienced person bought him sight-unseen off of the internet and he ended up being very unsafe for the "green" owner.  Sadly, he obviously had been through some "rough" treatment/training.
I noticed that he coughed a lot, especially at feeding time or simply while eating grass/hay but, he had no other symptoms and was not sick.  After having a vet scope his esophagus, it turns out that he has a "displaced soft palate".
To learn more about this condition you can google it.  It reduces their ability to breathe well (roaring) when worked and particles of food can get in the airway which is why he coughs so much. The recommendation from the vet to fix it, is surgery.  This is where I need help.  I was quoted that it would be close to $2500 to have it done.
It so happens that this is a very nice, quality horse with a lot of potential and still young.  He is worth the surgery.
This single mom would be so grateful if you horsey/animal lovers out there would support this good cause.  I would love to see this horse be physically complete so that I am able to complete his mental, emotional and academic development to ultimately find an appreciative, loving, forever home for this gorgeous guy.  He has a very sweet and tender horsenality and deserves the same kind of person.
