Alice's (PTSD) Retreat

I recently separated from the Army after 19 years of service and more than 10 deployments due to chronic PTSD. My goal is to establish Alice's Retreat, an off-grid homestead for female veterans with PTSD. Vets will be able to visit and participate in basic sustainment projects, in addition to participating in creative pursuits that provide comfort to each individual. Additionally, I intend to train PTSD service dogs and help other vets train their own dogs.
I am selling nearly everything I own to get this project off the ground, but I won't be able to do it by myself. The majority of the money I raise will be used for tools I need to establish the homestead, projects such as drilling a well, and to defray the cost of the land. I hope to be able to break ground on the cabin in May of 2016. Until then, I am honing the skills I will need to make my plan a reality.
This project has become a passion for me. Not only is it a huge part of my own healing procees, I expect it to be a significant part of that process for many other veterans. Your contribution could be the spark that lights a fire in someone else's eyes.
