Hi! I'm Nikki Raths RN Director at the Courage Cottage in Morris, MN. As I prepare to run my 7th marathon (Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on October 5th, 2014), I have decided to "Run for a Reason". I couldn't think of a better reason than my place of employment at SCMC's Courage Cottage.
The Courage Cottage is a non profit, 5 bed adult foster care facility that provides end of life care, respite care, and short term rehab services. In order to keep costs down for our residents, fundraising is a necessity. This allows us to provide quality and affordable care for our residents.
Running for me has always been a passion. I would like to run in honor and memory of my former and current patients who all have a special place in my heart. Doing so, gives me an added purpose and will benefit the Courage Cottage's annual fundraising goal.
