The Climb

Donation protected
Hey there, friends!

About two years ago I ran a marathon to raise awareness and to support those effected by mental illness. The response was more positive than I could have hoped for! Thank you again for that.

This year I'm, cutting the 42km challenge in half, but it will be an uphill task all the way: 21km covering an elevation of 1600m.

Mont Ventoux is the highest mountain climbed in the Tour de France, with a total elevation of 1912m.   This race will take place at the end of July; it's going to be a very sweaty run!

That being said, I'll be one of the lucky ones.  When my climb finishes I'll, of course, have access to plenty of water, food, a bed and anything else I might need or want.  For millions of people whose daily lives are a constant uphill struggle, there is no such feeling of safety or comfort.

Please help me to support WAR CHILD, an organisation committed to helping children trapped in conflict zones.  Help them to break free from violence and trauma, and to be given a fair start in life; something most of us take for granted, including myself.  This climb is for any child who is having to fight for that chance.

Take a look at the organisation to see what they're about and how they support children in hopeless situations of war: http://www.warchild.org/vision.

Thank you so much and get ready for a great summer!
