Youth Homeless Shelter

Donation protected
The money raised through this effort will help to get the shelter up and running at the ICCS office.  Certain requirements that have to be met include a sprinkler system in the building as well us plumbing updates to include a shower and washer and dryer set up.  Below is a brief description of the program and what it will provide the Coles, Clark, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Shelby, and Moultrie Counties in Illinois.

ICCS's Homeless Youth program is designed to serve as a one-stop resource for youth who are facing homelessness and also serve as a resource for schools and community providers, thereby improving the lives of youth eligible for homeless services by streamlining service delivery. The program seeks to remove unnecessary barriers in order to enable youth with multiple needs and those in emergency or crisis situations to receive the comprehensive services that they require. ICCS's Homeless Youth program provides immediate, direct assistance to at-risk youth, those experiencing a crisis, those requiring multiple services, and/or youth who require specialized services, including providing intervention to protect, shelter, feed, counsel and educate unaccompanied teenagers and young adults in an attempt to foster healthy and productive lives through outreach, emergency shelter, and transitional housing. A hallmark of this innovative, holistic service model includes a strength-based and family centered intake assessment that guides the entire case management plan.
