Cum On Out! 01: Period Poverty

Donation protected
What is cumming collective?

cumming collective is a community of people cumming together to discuss and support intersectional feminism. We aim to create a safe space for everyone who wants to be a part of an accepting community. In order to build this community, we need to reach like-minded people and bring them all together. When we gave birth to cumming, we started by organizing monthly screening events about important feminist topics. Now we have bigger plans in mind. In the future, we want to organize parties, concerts, or exhibitions which support local artists who are womxn, transgender or non-binary.

Why are we having this party?

Not only do we want to celebrate our first ever cumming party, but we also want to celebrate International Womxn's Day/Month. We are here to say that International Women's Day is not only about cis women! We want to unite all WOMXN, let them be cis, queer, trans, non-binary or genderfluid. To honor this, we are dedicating this night to you <3

Cum On Out! 01 is going to be a special night because not only do we want to raise awareness about period poverty, we are also going to donate all the earnings toward an amazing charity called Bloody Good Period. They provide period supplies for asylum seekers, refugees & those who can't afford them.

“MENSTRUAL SUPPLIES ARE NOT CHEAP, BUT FOR ANYONE WITH A PERIOD, THEY ARE, OF COURSE, AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY.”
-Bloody Good Period

What is period poverty?

Period poverty is a term that refers to being unable to access menstrual products because of financial challenges. The problem even reaches school children; lots of kids are missing school because they don’t have access to period products. The problem is also very prevalent with the homeless; there are about 63,000 homeless women in Germany, and many of them can't afford basic products for their periods.

“A SUSTAINABLE FLOW OF MENSTRUAL PROTECTION FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY THEM.”
-Bloody Good Period

With this party, we would like to create awareness about this worldwide problem and raise money toward the cause. In order to challenge the policies on periods, we need to normalize the conversation surrounding it and end the silence and stigma. Half of the world’s population bleeds every month, so why are we too embarrassed to talk about this very normal, natural process?

Why donate early?

We have set up a Gofundme account so you beautiful people can donate prior to the party. If you donate 5€ or more, we will add you to the guest list! If you donate more than 5€, you’ll get a limited edition sticker at the party :)

At the party, we will also be selling our first zine for 3€ to raise more money for the cause. If you’d like us to save you one, add 3€ to your donation and mention in the comment section that you’d like a zine. We will then have it waiting for you at the party!

Gofundme donations will end on Friday, March 22 at 20h. This is also a good way to guarantee a spot for the party :D
