CSCA Music Program 2016

What does music mean to you ?

There is nothing like a song to spark a memory as it brings us back to who we are at our essence and where we came from. Supporting music instruction at CSCA is invaluable.

Can you recall the magic of music and all its possibility from your childhood?

Children believe in themselves as musicians. They belt out their favorite tunes, word for word, while their parents record home videos; they feel like stars. The world is at their fingertips. They strum a guitar or tap the piano and know they made music. Their musical path is promising !

At Chinook Spirit Childrens Academy, we believe in kids, and we believe in music.

The years of research related to the benefits of music at a young age is undeniable. The countless benefits include everything from significant academic progress in math and literacy to emotional and behavioral benefits.

CSCA’s goal is to allow each student a music foundation, as well as the opportunity to play an instrument.  Last year, through our collaboration with New Mexico School of Music, students were able to begin to learn violin.  This year, students selected from violin to harp or piano during the first semester, and they may opt to add additional instruments for the second semester.

Chinook Spirit Children’s Academy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit school that integrates academics, creativity and consciousness through daily meditation.  We strive to keep our tuition low and affordable, as well as offer financial aid to those in need.  We give back, and in order to do so, our budget is fully utilized for many basics.

Our need is to increase our budget for music in order to grow this wonderful music program for kids.  In turn, these kids make a peaceful, loving, creative-problem solving difference in society as they grow!

They are already making such a difference!  Each month, students select a service project to which they give their time.  Over the past year, we have addressed issues that the kids care about such as litter in the park, feeding the hungry, water conservation, helping kids in crisis or poverty, sharing their joy with elderly, and more.

Chinook Spirit Children’s Academy appreciates your donation.  Anything helps and makes a difference, anything from your consciousness with holding our beautiful vision to giving of your monetary donation.  We are sincerely grateful for anything you are able to give.

Thank you!
