Faith Riders Motorcycle Ministry is a ministry bringing God’s word to the people. Many verses speak to what we do, but Luke 14:23 is a centerpiece of our mission.
“Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.”
Faith Riders work to witness among the motorcycle community and elsewhere. Motorcycles are a gift and something we enjoy, but we use them to reach anyone we can to share God’s word.
Which brings us to this campaign …
We want to reach even more of the unreached and one of the ways to do that is through music. Music is a tool that many do not realize crosses the barriers of preconception. Music that makes people move but hides lyrics that people would never admit they were singing every day. We want to use music, mixed in with some ministry and testimony, to reach and introduce a variety of Christian genres (rock, easy listening, rap, gospel, and more) that make people realize He is among us and alive.
Therefore we want to provide a free outdoor concert in the beautiful band shell in Veteran's Park, Winona, MN for all who will come. Within about 50 miles are five universities, Rochester and Red Wing, MN and LaCrosse, WI. We're thinking big! Publicized and promoted as much as possible, we are seeking the funding necessary to make it free for all who will attend.
We want to do this right. That means we will need some police presence, extra port-a-potties, some volunteer security, the band shell rental, and of course the cost of the musical talent. We are targeting a handful of local bands as well as what we will call a touring mid-level headliner or two. Bands you may have heard on current or recent radio air play but that people may not have known were Christian bands. In all, we expect this could be a $10,000 or more endeavor. So to cover the transaction costs and to seek great talent, we want to aim high! But, we will start at $5,000 to get a touring headliner. But only $1,500 is the minimum to make it happen with local artists!
Once confirmed that the event is on, we will reach out to food trucks and vendors to add to the event. It should be a great afternoon in the park!
Anything we manage to raise above the immediate need for this event will be held for other purposes of the ministry or to hold a similar event next year. Even if we fall short, we will use what we manage to receive from this campaign to pull off the event to some lesser degree than hoped. If we fall far short, we will use anything gained from the campaign to better serve the community through the ministry. Faith Riders Motorcycle Ministry does NOT pay our members. So this is and will never be a personal funding campaign. Everything we collect through dues, donations, or even out-of-pocket is put 100% in to the activity and needed resources of the ministry.

We are thrilled to share that FAITHFEST will happen!
Thanks to many direct contributions and commitments yet to receive, we have reached the amount necessary to assure the event will happen.
The GoFundMe will remain open because there are still peripheral needs to address and the hope enough is raised to bring in more artists.
...Phase II begins with seeking and confirming vendors and food truckstents. So if you are aware of either, point them to FacebookFaith Riders of Winona or to Chris directly.
