Cricket Chamber Orchestra EU Tour

The Cricket Chamber Orchestra is a recently formed community strings orchestra established 2014 in Hamilton by Hungarian flautist, Mate Szigeti and Hungarian violinist, Anita Hiripi. The goal of the orchestra is provideour instrumentalistswith a taste of the pleasure of playing in an orchestra setting while being offered exceptional orchestral music instruction and performance opportunities that foster creativity, personal development and social growth.
We have been given the opportunity to participate in an orchestra exchange workshop during July 2017 with students from the Vujicscics Tihamér music school in Szentendre, Hungary. This two week trip will provide an unforgettable experience for our students that will allow them to discover the culture and history of another country through music. In the summer of 2018 the students from the Vujicsics Tihamér muisic school will visit Canada!
The Hungarian host orchestra will providehousing accommodations for us, but we must purchase airline tickets for more then 20 players. Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover the travel expenses so that we do not have to leave anyone behind because of financial struggles.
