Creating a Dar as-salam in Italy

Apriamoci e siamo amabili, cerchiamo di essere belli. Dio non ama ciò che è brutto, Egli ama ciò che è bello.  Aprite la porta e dite:  Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim, nel nome di Dio Il Misericordioso, Il Compassionevole."

Per grazia dell'Altissimo Iddio e per i meriti dei nostri nobili maestri è nata in Italia, in Piemonte, una Dar a salam - Casa della pace - consacrata al culto divino ed al servizio della comunità; luogo di accoglienza e di incontro,  dove ritrovarsi in amicizia e fraternità, nel ricordo e nell'amore divino.


In un'antica borgata alpina dal nome inconfondibile "Malpertus",  segno dell'eredità saracena che contraddistingue questi luoghi, la dergah sorge presso le sponde del torrente Pellice ad 850 metri di altitudine, circondata da monti e foreste di larici e castagni, in una valle dalla vocazione agri-pastorale e dalle dolci acque sorgive.


Ricevuta l'approvazione del nostro maestro, un primo nucleo di  fratelli è qui giunto, stabilendosi in un complesso di edifici rurali circondato da frutteti e prati, da anni in stato di abbandono, con l'intenzione di riportare il luogo al suo antico splendore consacrandolo al servizio divino sotto le insegne di Shah-e Mardan.

Questa pagina è a disposizione di chiunque abbia a cuore il diffondersi di luoghi di pace e di orientamento spirituale, di chiunque voglia sostenere la creazione di una casa comune dove apprendere e praticare l'accoglienza ed il servizio fraterno , attraverso contributi per il restauro del complesso e per la realizzazione delle diverse zone comuni: dal masjid alla biblioteca, dal refettorio alle stanze dei fuqarà fino alla foresteria.



Inoltre è un invito a partecipare alla realizzazione dei diversi progetti ed attività come seminari e ritiri spirituali, campi estivi ed escursioni guidate, attività rurali quali orticoltura ed apicoltura, allevamento ed equitazione, ecc.

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim

By the grace of God the Almighty and by the merits of our noble masters, a Dar as salam -house of peace- has been found in Piemonte Italy.

Malpertus is situated at the foot of the Italian Alps, devoted to divine worship and service to the community.

A place for gathering and remembrance, to come together in a spirit of friendship.

Set in an historic hamlet whose distinctive name tells of the Islamic heritage in the surroundings, where Muslims from Andalusia and overseas settled over a thousand years ago. Our Dergah lays on the banks of the Pellice river 850 metres above sea level, surrounded by lush forests and blessed by abundant water springs.

Following the master's approval, a first group of fuqaras have settled in a long-neglected cluster of rural buildings surrounded by pastureland and orchards. Now with the intention of restoring it to its original state and devote it to serving Islam under the banner of Shah-e Mardan.

“Just as Ibrahim (as) obeyed the order of Allah and built His Holy House in an uninhabited desert and wate came and people came so we imitate Ibrahim (as) when we build masjid in new places like Mawlana did in Cyprus" Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad, Germany 7 July 2018.


This page is for everyone wishing to contribute to the restoration of the Dar as salam.

Funding will go towards the common areas such as the masjid, the library, the refectory, the fuqaras' rooms and the guestrooms; it is also possible to contribute towards the various activities of the dergah like seminars,  spiritual retreats, summer camps and hikes, horticulture and beekeeping, horse riding etc.
