Help me Freeze My Eggs

Donation protected
Hello name is Destiney Warfield. On May 17, 2013, when I was only 13 years old, I found out I had cancer. I had been sick for 4 years before the Cancer was discovered. Around that time I had begun feeling different. I had stomach pains that I thought of as nothing more than normal cramps or pains from recently starting dance classes. I also began to feel extremely depressed and sad, crying sometimes for no apparent reason thinking it was just normal PMS. I would ask to go to the bathroom at school because I couldn’t hold it in and didn’t want anyone to see me. By the end of that school year, (end of April and beginning of May 2013) things weren’t getting better. I had started skipping school and missed so many days with no reason that I could really explain. I remember leaving for school one morning and then sneaking back into my room through the window when everyone else was gone. I just couldn’t do it. My parents were having to leave work and pick me up 2 or 3 times a week from school. On May 17, I was supposed to perform in a school talent show with friends, but once again the pain interfered. I had to call for one of my parents to pick me up. When we got home my mother came in to see what was wrong. I was too weak to move so she lifted my shirt up and unzipped my pants a little bit. My mother was shocked. I looked about six months pregnant. My mom rushed me to Scottish Rite Hospital and instead of going home with antibiotics for a stomach virus, we received devastating news. CT scans, MRIs and blood tests revealed that I had a tumor in my abdomen. A nightmare unimaginable was happening. Three days later I had surgery to remove the tumor that was the size of a football. A week later we found out the tumor was malignant. I had a 10%Teratoma and 90% Yok Sac Tumor. I was 13 and finding out I had Ovarian Cancer. Things moved by so quickly and decisions had to be made. I had a port placed in my chest in June of 2013 and began my first five days of Chemotherapy. Although it was a horrible week  inpatient for 5 days of harsh chemotherapy I made it through.  This had to be done for 4 cycles . My mother, father, siblings, friends and church family really supported me throughout my treatment and thereafter. I was also blessed to receive enough donations to get my Golden Retriever, Bella, as dogs like her always visited me in the hospital and me feel better. I beat those battles but faced many more including leaving school and starting homebound, seizures, complications with my heart such as PVCs, peripheral neuropathy, severe muscle spasms and traveling to Texas for 4 months to receive treatment after care from doctors here in Georgia. I have had to  undergone surgery after surgery, procedure after procedure, devastating news after devastating news. By the grace of God, however, I have survived. I am still fighting. My next battle, one I and my family have tried to put off, is staring me right in the face. I had one of my ovaries removed before, but refused to give up both or my uterus. Now the time has come. Due to my severe endometriosis chronic pain and hopes of a better quality of life  I have opted to consider a hysterectomy. I feel I would be okay with this decision if could if I could have the procedure to freeze my eggs. This is the reason for my fund page.   One in which my I am asking for donations so that I might freeze my eggs as my insurance does not cover it all the cost for the procedure that is needed . I’m 16 and I don’t know what the future holds,  I have had to succumb to a lot in my very young age ,but I  would still like to use my own eggs to have my kids one day with the help of my two older sisters .  I want that future and I don’t want cancer to take that from me. Any donation is appreciated and accepted as a blessing as I’m confident in God’s plan for my life. Thank you for reading, caring, supporting, Praying , and  Donating . I Pray for the day that I will be able to Post Pictures of a  Lovely Family I Dream of one day having....GOD BLESS!!!
