Model United Nations Japan Trip

Hello my name is  Demetrius!   I am raising funds  to go Japan with my school for an International Model United Nations trip  were there will be delegates from all around the world discussing world issues.  I would love to be one of them!   This is a fantastic opportunity for me to continue to learn more about world issues and help young people like myself try to figure out how to help.    We are going in March of 2016, but I need to raise as much as I can as soon as possible to make sure I can go.

I appreciate any donation you are able to make in any amount, each dollar will get me one step closer to going. 

If you live local and would like me to do something to earn the money I can tutor young kids in math, do yard work and other simple things that might help you.

I guess I should tell you a little bit about me for those of you that might see this and don't know me.  I am 13 years old and an 8th grader.   I like to explore different things in life, such as I am about to test for my 2nd degree black belt in Taweondo and I am working toward becoming an eagle scout.  Being a boy scout has given me to chance  to volunteer in the community and see for myself some of the social issues right in my community.  Earning my 2nd black in taewondo will be a great accomblishment and it has taken me almost 8 years.   I have two sister and one brother, that I love.   I enjoy all sorts of things like crabbing, rock climbing, tennis,  football and math.   I am great at math and plan to be a robotic engineer when I grow up.   I am excited to go to Japan because they are a leader in the field of Robotics!

I joined Model United Nations in 7th grade and I have really enjoyed it.  I got the opportunity to attend a work shop in Berkley, CA  last year and it was amazing.      We learned a lot about women's rights across the world. Going to Japan will further my interest in helping those in need and give me a once in a life time experience.    The trip is 9 days and includes a 3 day conference along with touring the country.
