For transparency sake, I'm listing the following information to ensure folks know how and where there money is being used.
Who are you?
My name is Jovan. I'm an organizer with Project South, a storyteller with YESworld, and a student at Georgia Tech.
Where you're from?
This is a tough question...I've made home in Atlanta, Georgia for the pasat 8 years.
Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for?
As a member of Atlanta community, I worked with others yesterday to secure the funds necessary and legal representation to support those who were detained as a part of yesterdays actions.
How the funds will be used (be specific as possible)
The funds will be used to offset the costs of bailing out individuals yesterday and of ensuring that they receive support necessary throughout the legal process.
If you intend to withdraw the money, how you plan to send the funds to the parties you're raising money for or use the money on their behalf?
The money raised will be directly deposited into the accounts of one of the organizations managing the bailout.
If a direct deposit is not possible it will be withdrawn personally then donated to the account of one of the organizations running the legal defense and bail.
On November 13 justice loving Georgians gathered to demand that every vote be counted!
They left school, took off of work, rescheduled meetings, etc because THEY WERE NEEDED !!
If you believe in democracy, if you believe that every vote should be counted, if you believe that we, the people, have a voice that must be heard.... support this fund and share the stories of those who put their freedom on the line to ensure every vote is counted.
For those of you across GA and beyond who cannot support monetarily, please make a video about any voter suppression you experienced on or before election day, use the hashtag #counteveryvote and stories will be lifted up on counteveryvote.com.
