Cosmic Glow Walk

Donation protected
In 2011, for her senior project, Abbie Brynda sponsored a walk to raise funds for a service dog for Natalie Menzl. Natalie is a 14 year old special needs child from Cranberry Township.

Service dogs are very expensive due to the extensive training required. Cosmic, the puppy identified for Natalie, would cost over $13,000. Abbie’s goal for her walk was $800, enough to start the fund. When all contributions were counted, she actually raised $7,000! In the following year, the Cranberry Cup contributed the balance.

Cosmic was Natalie’s companion and best friend for 5 years. Sadly, in March, he was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumor and had to be put to sleep.

Natalie has a new puppy that needs to be appropriately trained. Misty Pines in Wexford will be able to provide the training. For this level of training, the charge is $80 per hour. It was decided to again have a walk to raise the funds needed for the training.

This fundraiser is dedicated to Abbie Brynda who died in 2014. It is also in memory of Cosmic. For that, we are calling this The Cosmic Glow Walk.

It will be held in the evening of July 14, 2018 at Zelienople Community Park. Registration will begin at 7:00 PM with the walk beginning at 8:30 PM. In addition to people of all ages, dogs (well behaved and on a leash, of course) will also be allowed to participate.

If you are unable to participate in the walk, all contributions of money, time, water, snacks, etc. are appreciated.
