Debby and her family have struggled for a long time to afford health insurance. Before the ACA, she and her husband were both denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions.
This week, Debby confronted Senator Tom Cotton at a town hall meeting.

She requested that he meet with her - his office is literally accross the street. He's invited her to meet in D.C., but it's an expensive trip. Plus, Debby wants it to be clear that she's not a "paid protester" and is hesitant to accept sponsorship from an official organization.
During our interview, Debby shared that they're unable to meet with her husband's cardiologist until they meet their outstanding bills. This puts them in a lot of financial peril.
